Lean Culture and Kaizen Methodology for Healthcare

The true secret to a lean transformation within any organization is the culture. Lean is about the power of everyone working toward the improvement of systems. Everyone, from the CEO to the front line employee, must be engaged and support the new "change" culture.

This course will go through information on lean culture and includes a culture assessment for each participant to fill out, illustrating where one's organization is culturally.

The second part of the course will cover kaizen methodology, which is probably the most recognized of Toyota Production System tools. An elaboration of the 10-step process used to create highly effective kaizen events will be presented, as well as other important topics such as team selection, pre-work requirements, and post-work requirements.
