Bio:
David Yates is a specialist in lean based out of the Gateway Technology Center in Rocky Mount, NC

David teaches lean education courses and provides on-site delivery to industry throughout North Carolina. His recent clients include manufacturers of industrial supplies, textile goods, food products, automotive components, and engineered wood products. He has also worked with regional distributors, healthcare professionals, and the United States Coast Guard.

David's clients have saved millions of dollars from productivity increases; changeover, quality, and workflow improvements; and inventory and leadtime reductions.

David has 18 years of manufacturing management experience primarily in the textiles, automotive supply, and metalworking industries. David worked with Milliken & Company for seven years in manufacturing roles, industrial engineering, and as plant controller. He worked for Collins & Aikman for nine years as Division Industrial Engineering Manager and Plant Manager for operations in Roxboro and Farmville, NC. David joined IES from Air System Components where he was Plant Manager in Tarboro, NC.

B.S. in industrial engineering from North Carolina State University with a minor in economics
