Manufacturing Extension Partnership

IES is part of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), a nationwide program that is part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). With a network of nearly 350 centers located nationwide, the program's purpose is to provide small and medium-sized manufacturers with the tools they need to succeed. Each MEP center works directly with its local area manufacturers to provide expertise and services tailored to their most critical needs, ranging from process improvements and worker training to business practices and applications of information technology.

Jim Daggerhart is the director of the MEP center at IES.
