About This Event:

This workshop meets the refresher requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120 by presenting realistic hazmat issues for group discussion and opportunities to plan and respond to mock hazmat spill/release scenarios.

Recommended For:

This workshop is designed for anyone needing a HAZWOPER refresher, whether for emergency response or for remediation or TSDF work.

NOTE: This is a refresher workshop. ALL participants should have copmleted a minimum of 24 hours of initial HAZWOPER training.

You Will:

Employ critical thinking and demonstrate practical skills for hazmat situation response.

Topics Covered Include:

Practice methods and procedures for recognizing, evaluating and controlling hazardous substances
Demonstrate proper measures for protecting personnel and the surrounding environment
Demonstrate ability to select and use appropriate protective equipment -- including respirators, protective suits, boots and gloves
