Learn the concepts of ISO 9001 and how the standard can be a valuable part of any business management system. Acquire the skills to conduct successful internal quality system audits for ISO 9001.

Prerequisite

Working knowledege of ISO 9001 requirements or successful completion of Introduction to ISO 9001 Requirements course.

You Will:

Define and use basic quality system terminology
Discuss the process approach and its impact upon auditing techniques and methodology
Use innovative exercises to help you thoroughly understand the purpose and role of the internal quality auditor
Learn and practice effective communication skills and techniques, including effective questioning and conflict management
Plan, prepare and perform an internal quality audit. You will participate in audit team meetings, collect evidence and report your findings.

Instructor(s):

Quality systems facilitators from the NC State University Industrial Extension Service. Each facilitator is an experienced Quality Management System facilitator and auditor. NCSU-IES facilitators have assisted many companies with the training and implementation of their quality management system. They have developed and conducted quality system assessments and improvement techniques and demonstrated specific understanding and implementation techniques related to other ISO 9001:2000 based quality management systems, such as, ISO/TS 16949 Automotive Quality Management Systems; ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems; ISO 22000 Food Safety Management Systems, etc.
