Understanding Air Quality in North Carolina

1 day(s) , 7 instructional hours

About This Event:

Recent newspaper articles have reminded us of North Carolina's poor ranking among US states in air quality. Some authorities have disputed these assessments, while others have not. This workshop will provide a forum for presenting and discussing NC air quality issues. The day will include a summary of air quality fundamentals, discussing the types of air pollutants and associated sources, primary EPA laws regulating air quality, and other related topics. This will be followed by a more in-depth session on how NC regulatory agencies implement EPA laws and manage air quality in our state.
