Manufacturing

Manufacturing in the United States is under assault by a global economy that delights in kicking proverbial sand in our faces.  Saving manufacturing won't be easy.  It'll take guts, sharp pencils and some real, cutting-edge solutions.

But mostly, real solutions.

Every year, thousands of North Carolina manufacturers contact the Industrial Extension Service (IES) at NC State University to get real solutions to their real problems.  We know manufacturing, and our clients know it.  IES was created in 1955 by the NC General Assembly to provide technical expertise and real solutions to support the state's manufacturers.  The times have changed, but our mission hasn't.

The IES specialists who visit your factor floor come with years of manufacturing experience, but mostly, they come with real solutions.

Manufacturing in the 20st century can be so complicated that today's methods might not work tomorrow.  We'll make sure the resources of NC State University are within your reach.  A call to your IES regional manager is the first step to solving your company's problems, drawing a line in the sand against your global competitors, and maybe kicking a litte of it back in their faces.
