Manufactured in North Carolina Enrolls its 100th Company

Nathan Huret, Existing Industry Coordinator for the Catawba County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) in Hickory, North Carolina studied his list of manufacturers again.  “100, exactly!” he exclaimed, the pride rising in his voice.  100 subscribers was the first major milestone for “Manufactured in North Carolina”, an optimized, online directory of North Carolina’s world-class manufacturers.

Southeastern Regional Medical Center’s Award Winning Pursuit of Excellence

The Southeastern Regional Medical Center (SRMC) will receive the Level 2-Commitment award from the North Carolina Awards for Excellence at NC State University. SRMC is one of 3 healthcare facilities to receive the Governor’s Award of Performance Excellence in Healthcare for 2011.

SRMC will be formally recognized by the governor at the North Carolina Hospital Association’s annual meeting on February 16-17, 2012 at the Embassy Suites in Cary.

Three North Carolina Healthcare Facilities are Award Winning

Southeastern Regional Medical Center (Lumberton), CarePartners Health Services (Asheville) and CaroMont Health (Gastonia) will receive awards from the North Carolina Awards for Excellence Program at North Carolina State University. Each organization will be recognized by Governor Perdue at the North Carolina Hospital Association’s annual meeting on February 16-17, 2012 at the Embassy Suites in Cary.

Governor’s Award of Performance Excellence in Healthcare

The North Carolina Awards for Excellence, facilitated by the North Carolina State University’s Industrial Extension Service (IES), is modeled after the National Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award. Award recipients in healthcare also receive the Governor’s Award of Performance Excellence in Healthcare.

CaroMont Health – Raising the Bar on Healthcare

DRS Shines in Statewide Industry Promotion

The DRS Technologies Elizabeth City location served as the setting for the latest meeting of an N.C. State University-based effort to talk up and shine positive spotlights on industries in the state. The effort, called the "Manufacturing Makes It Real Network," started more than a year ago as a collective effort of NCSU's Industrial Extension Service.
