Keynote Speakers Announced for the 2015 mfgCON Manufacturing Conference

The North Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NCMEP) today announced a roster of keynote presenters has been added to its inaugural manufacturing conference this fall. The conference, dubbed mfgCON 2015, will be held in Raleigh on October 20-21 and will include two days of manufacturing focused presentations and breakout sessions designed for maximum exposure to the newest ideas, tools and resources.

NC State IES Executive Director to Moderate Panel at NC Chamber’s 2015 Manufacturing Summit

NC State Industrial Extension Service (IES), the solutions-based, industry and business focused unit of NC State University, today announced that Executive Director Terri Helmlinger Ratcliff, PE, PhD will moderate a panel discussion at The North Carolina Chamber’s 2015 Manufacturing Summit. The panel, titled “Competing in the Global Economy,” will take place on Thursday, June 4 beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Southeastern OSHA Training Institute Education Center launches new, 8-hour online HAZWOPER course

The Southeastern OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC) announced the launch of a new, 8-hour HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations) course that can be completed entirely online. The online course applies to a wide range of workers, including those in cleanup operations at uncontrolled hazardous waste sites and EPA-licensed waste treatment, storage, and disposal facilities, and emergency personnel responding to scenarios involving hazardous materials.

IES to Lead Innovation Engineering Workshop at 2015 IndustryWeek Best Plants Conference and Expo
