10 for Humanity and IES Team Up to Develop Personal Security Device

Helping North Carolina businesses innovate and grow is a key component of what the NC State Industrial Extension Service delivers to its clients. This includes helping entrepreneurs develop great ideas into marketable products. Recently, IES technology scouting experts and an array of NC State university resources, along with the Research Triangle Institute (RTI), worked with Raleigh-based 10 for Humanity on the Tiger Eye Security System (TESS), a wearable, hands-free device capable of sending a distress signal to authorities when the wearer is in danger.
