Build a New Company Over the Weekend

54 hours to build a new company, a new life or at least some new friends?  This may sound ridiculous to some but not to Startup Weekend enthusiast.  Triangle Startup Weekend is an event designed to bring together developers, designers, marketers, product managers and entrepreneurs to share ideas, form teams, build products and launch startups all in 54 hours.

How It Works

Over the course of three days a company goes from conception to prototype turning strangers into business partners.  On the first day participants pitch ideas for start-ups, attendees bring their best ideas and inspire others to join their team. Once teams are assembled they begin building prototypes, focusing on customer development, validating their ideas, practicing LEAN Startup Methodologies and build a minimal viable product. On the last day, the teams present their projects and demo their prototypes.  Teams receive valuable feedback from a panel of local entrepreneurs and investors.

Why You Should Attend

Zaarly, Trip Lingo, Foodspotting, Planely and Giant Thinkwell are all organizations that have one thing in common: Startup Weekend was their launching point.  Think that you may have the next big idea?  Are you someone who can help someone make their idea better?  Are you up for the 54 hour challenge? Think the next captain of industry resides within you? Then Startup Weekend is right up your alley.

Come join 200 of the brightest minds in the Triangle collaborating over the course of one non-stop, 54 hour entrepreneurial frenzy being held on April 13th-15th at NC State, Centennial Campus in Raleigh.  Click here to register!

This is a fantastic event!  Wish I could attend!  This really is an exercise more schools should try.  Invaluable skills to learn about how to make it happen.  Will be checking back for results!  Thanks :)
