Rockingham County Uses Lean Management to Improve Efficiency

Rockingham County Jail is taking part in Lean Management, a practice that aims to eliminate waste and improve quality.

"You try to look at areas that are causing you problems and if you just sit back and you throw more money at it, you never resolve the issue. Lean allows us to break down that process and say what's happening at each step of the way," said Adam Lindsay with Rockingham County. "How much time are we taking at each step, who's involved, who needs to be involved and are there things in this process that we don't need."
