Lesson 4: OverviewYou will learn about different types of hazard controls, preventive maintenance and managing change, emergency planning, occupational health programs, and contractor safety. These topics describe systematic approaches to preventing and controlling identified hazards. This lesson also revisits the process of management review. |

Lesson 5: OverviewYou will learn how to: (1) identify your company’s training needs and OSHA training requirements; (2) create a training matrix; (3) promote transfer of training into the workplace; and (4) recognize the characteristics of effective training. You will also learn about different types of training as well as the importance of maintaining training records and documentation. |
Lesson 6: OverviewYou will run again the Gap Analysis Tool, introduced in Lesson 1, to mark how much progress you have made toward implementing an SHMS at your company. |
