Bio
Chris McGraw serves as the regional manager for the western region of the state which includes Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Caldwell, Cherokee, Clay, Cleveland, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania, Watauga, and Yancey counties. Chris has taught various lean manufacturing courses, including lean 100, 5S and value stream mapping. He has participated in more than 25 lean events as a facilitator and instructor. He has completed projects with companies throughout the area in Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, ISO 9000, value engineering, design for manufacturing and assembly and other technical projects. Chris has more than 15 years experience in engineering and marketing with an international Fortune 500 company. He has held positions from design engineer to application engineer to technical manager, and was directly involved with the planning and implementation of the company's e-commerce plan. Chris has been published in many industry trade magazines, including Manufacturing Engineering, Cutting Tool Engineering and Ceramic Industry. Chris has an A.S. degree from Lees-McRae College and a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from NC State University.
