NC State Industry Expansion Solutions (IES) has been awarded a $3M grant from the U.S. Department of Defense. The grant, awarded in November of 2018, will be used to expand and enhance the planning and piloting efforts of Phase I of the North Carolina Defense Industry Diversification Initiative (NC DIDI).

In Phase II, the objectives are to maximize the impact of the NC DIDI, provide support for advanced manufacturing capabilities to North Carolina companies in the aerospace and defense supply chains, conduct needs assessments and deliver business services to eligible companies.
