Improve the Energy Performance of Your Organization: An Introduction to ISO 50001

Is your organization being challenged to:
  • Develop initiatives to reduce energy costs?
  • Respond to demands for energy efficiencies created along the manufacturing supply chain?
  • Develop corporate sustainability programs?
  • Increase the value of “green manufacturing” and/or a reduced carbon footprint?
  • Investigate potential carbon or energy tax savings?
Why Attend
What if your organization could improve its energy savings by 20-30% with little capital investment? Or reduce exposure to rising energy prices?  Understand how your organization, whether large or small, across diverse commercial, industrial or public sectors, could achieve such energy efficiencies, while reducing environmental impact, by attending this one-day course.

ISO 50001 supports organizations in all sectors to use energy more efficiently, through the development of an energy management system (EnMS). This course is designed to provide a general overview of the concepts, requirements and benefits of using an energy management system based on the ISO 50001 standard.

An experienced instructor, Charles Parrish, who sat on the original technical committee (TC) that developed ISO 50001, will discuss the requirements outlined in the standard and explain how developing and systematically managing policies and procedures can improve energy efficiency, achieve targets, and reduce energy costs. Additionally, the course will highlight the value of integrating ISO 50001 with other management systems, such as ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
