About This Course:
This workshop provides you with a full understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series or OHSAS 18001 standard along with typical practices and procedures for satisfying 18001 requirements. Detailed information is presented on elements of the standard, how to implement an OHSMS, the road to registration, common non-conformances and other topics.

Introduction to OHSAS 18001 will be conducted using interactive exercises (learn-by-doing technique) to facilitate a full understanding of the material.

NCSU-IES facilitators have assisted many companies with the training and implementation of their quality management system. They have developed and conducted quality system assessments and improvement techniques and demonstrated specific understanding and implementation techniques related to other ISO 9001:2000 based quality management systems, such as, ISO/TS 16949 Automotive Quality Management Systems; ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems; ISO 22000 Food Safety Management Systems, etc.
