Learn the fundamentals of industrial hygiene and related OSHA regulations and procedures with this OSHA #521 Guide to Industrial Hygiene course. Upon completion participants will learn industrial ventilation principles and air sampling methods, recognize basic industrial hygiene principles and practices, identify characteristics of common air contaminants and permissible exposure limits (PELs), perform basic industrial hygiene calculations, and determine methods for hazard control and abatement.
This course addresses industrial hygiene practices and related OSHA regulations and procedures. Given the responsibility to provide a workplace that complies with OSHA’s Industrial Hygiene standards, the participant will be able to recognize potential health hazards in accordance with OSHA’s occupational health standards and guidelines. The course features workshops in health hazard recognition, OSHA health standards and a safety and health program workshop.
