Raleigh, N.C., August 5, 2019 –NC State Industry Expansion Solutions (IES) today announced it has been awarded $94K for a research project funded by the Research & Development Unit of the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
The project, titled “Integrating Supply Chain with Transportation Infrastructure Data for Enhanced Planning Capabilities” will merge existing DoD supply chain data with geospatial transportation infrastructure data. “By coupling these two pieces of information in one platform, it is our intent that decision support capabilities will be improved for transportation planners, economic developers and business owners,” said Fiona M. Baxter, Ph.D, Associate Executive Director, Industry Expansion Solutions.
KeAnne Hoeg, Manager, Market Research and Reporting, Industry Expansion Solutions, will be the principal investigator (PI) on the year-long research project.
