North Carolina Secretary of Commerce John Skvarla will recognize the Village of Pinehurst for its performance excellence program during the May 2016 Village Council meeting. The Village of Pinehurst recently achieved Milestone 3, a high-level award designated and conferred by North Carolina State University Industry Expansion Solutions. Reaching Milestone 3 indicates that an organization has made significant progress on its performance excellence journey; at this level organizations have had a successful site visit by a team of Baldrige examiners who verify that the processes in place are generating measurable, sustainable results.
Keihin North America will also be recognized for achieving Milestone 3 on May 10 at their All Hands Meeting. In addition, Duke Regional Hospital was recently recognized for achieving Milestone 3. IES Director of Client and Market Development Cheryl Smith and Regional Manager Mitch Poteat presented the award to President Katie Galbraith and Associate Chief Nursing Officer Gloria McNeil at the President’s staff meeting on March 18.
