It is anticipated that the North Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NCMEP) will receive federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and. Economic Security Act (CARES) funding to expand services and help manufacturers respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the coming weeks, NCMEP will contact manufacturers across the state to gather information on the impact of COVID-19 on operations, workforce, sales and needs.
NCMEP Partner Industry Expansion Solutions (IES) has been fielding requests from manufacturers across the state who have been reaching out to contribute their resources, time and energy to address the challenges of COVID-19. IES has been collecting these responses and building a database of companies, cataloging their capabilities, coordinating technical responses and providing sourcing guidance to these companies.
The North Carolina Awards for Excellence (NCAfE) welcomes 11 examiners for the 2020 award cycle. Six are new examiners and five are returning to the program from the prior year. These examiners come from nine different organizations across North Carolina.
