It’s official! The North Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NCMEP) and Business North Carolina magazine have partnered again to present the 2023 North Carolina Manufacturing Conference, MFGCON, to be held on April 20 – 21, 2023 at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. During two days, speakers and industry experts will help companies identify new ways to improve their operations, increase productivity and address challenges in the manufacturing industry. Phil Mintz Selected as an ISE Distinguished Alumni

NC State University Industry Expansion Solutions director Phil Mintz has been selected to receive the Industrial and Systems Engineering Distinguished Alumni award. The Distinguished Alumnus Award is the highest honor that ISE can give its alumni. It’s awarded to those who deserve special recognition for notable contributions to their profession, community, and the department. He was inducted into the ISE Hall of Fame in a ceremony on Friday, November 4th. Congratulations, Phil!

 

IES Employee Spotlight: Michael Mullins

Michael Mullins is the Director of the North Carolina State Industry Expansion Solutions (IES) Defense Industry Initiatives. Michael is a former Marine and retired Army Lieutenant Colonel and spent most of his career at Fort Bragg. He has extensive experience executing and managing Department of Defense training contracts in Sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia. During the execution of these training programs, Michael worked closely with the Department of State, various foreign ministries, non-governmental organizations, the United Nations and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
