Clocking In: Voices of NC Manufacturing Podcast

The North Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NCMEP) has launched a new manufacturing-focused podcast hosted by IES Executive Director and NCMEP Director, Phil Mintz. The first episode features ATI Laminates, a decorative laminate manufacturer based out of Greensboro, North Carolina. Our guest and President of ATI Laminates, Tara Burgio, talks about how the company is maniacally focused on developing innovative surfaces for the hospitality, retail, healthcare and institutional markets. Tara also gives us some tips on how to maintain a committed workforce. Podcast episodes will be released in monthly installments, every second Tuesday, so stay tuned!

NC Manufacturer American Giant Apparel Featured on CBS News

Phil Mintz Tapped for Board of Directors

Phil Mintz, IES Executive Director and Director of NCMEP, is one of the seven directors nominated to sit on the Foundation For Manufacturing Excellence Board. Those confirmed will serve a three-year term starting October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2022. He has been nominated with other MEP Directors from South Carolina, Maine, Ohio and previous board members.

The Foundation for Manufacturing Excellence is the educational foundation for NIST-MEP Centers. The main focus of the institute is to assist in providing enduring education to the nationwide system of manufacturing center members.
