Amy Netzel is an instructional designer for the Instructional Design Team of NC State Industry Expansion Solutions (IES). Amy holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in education and has 14 years of experience in the education field. Amy's experience developing learning content and interacting with students spans the classroom environment and private online industry. Prior to her arrival at IES, Amy served as an Accessibility Technologist for Wake Technical Community College where she served as a college-wide resource and trainer on W3C accessible web content. At IES, Amy works with both internal and external subject matter experts to design learning experiences for the classroom and online environments. She values the importance of creating accessible learning content that is informative, engaging and memorable. A lifetime student herself, Amy has also studied simulation and game development and video production. In the fall of 2016, she will begin studies toward her second master's degree at Appalachian State University, working toward an M.A. in Educational Media.
