Bio
Edison McCrea is a contract instructor for NC State Industry Expansion Solutions (IES). He is an operations management professional with more than 20 years of management, quality assurance, manufacturing engineering, project management and business development experience in the automotive, industrial, medical, and transportation industries. Over the years he has worked for Delphi Automotive, ITT Automotive, Harris Electronics and ETI Ventures. Edison has worked with and managed project teams responsible for launching new products and programs, bringing new high volume manufacturing facilities on line, and installing new production lines. He has developed and implemented enterprise wide management systems including ISO/TS 16949 quality systems and ERP computer systems. Over his career Edison has led and managed the APQP and PPAP processes for new product development. Additionally, he has used and deployed root cause analysis and corrective actions methods, failure mode effects and analysis, and process control plans to drive product and process improvement. Edison is a trained ISO 9001:2008, ISO 9001:2015 and TS 16949 lead auditor. Edison holds a B.S in electrical engineering technology from South Carolina State University.
