Jeff Beamon is a lean improvement specialist based in Gastonia. Jeff provides on-site lean implementation and training to help North Carolina industries become more productive and more profitable, by enabling them to respond quickly to customer needs. Some of Jeff's clients include manufacturers of heavy equipment, furniture, metal fabrications, storage containers, and textiles. Jeff also delivers lean solutions to the healthcare industry. Jeff joined IES in May 2008, with 22 years of manufacturing experience in bearing machining, circuit breakers, and machining and assembly of compressors, along with a short stint in high speed cable manufacturing. Jeff spent two years as an Industrial Engineer with the Timken Company in Canton, OH. Jeff then worked as a manufacturing engineer and department manager for Square D Company in Cedar Rapids, IA and Monroe, NC, respectively. He spent the next 16 years with Copeland Corporation in Shelby in a number of positions: process improvement facilitator, operations manager, plant manager, and division lean manager. While at Copeland, Jeff completed course work at NC State University for his Six Sigma Black Belt. Prior to joining IES, Jeff worked as a corporate lean director for Belden Corporation in Richmond, IN. Jeff holds a B.S. in Manufacturing Technology from NC A&T State University, and an M.S. in Industrial Technology with a minor in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University. In addition to his expertise in lean manufacturing, Jeff has completed his Six Sigma Black Belt Certification through NC State University.
