Michelle Daniels serves as the executive assistant to the NC State University Industry Expansion Solutions (IES) executive director and the associate executive director of strategic development and evaluation. In addition to providing administrative support to the executive office, she is responsible for the logistical management of the IES Advisory Board, IES core team, Manufacturing Extension Partnership Advisory Board and the IES management team. Before coming to IES, Michelle worked for the New York City (NYC) government serving as the executive assistant to the deputy commissioner for the bureau of enforcement at the (NYC) Department of Buildings. She also served as the office coordinator and assistant to the Borough Commissioner of the NYC Department of Buildings, Development HUB. While working at the NYC Department of Buildings, Michelle was recognized for her exceptional service and dedication to the department and its customers by receiving the NYC Department of Buildings “Friday Feature,” highlighting the department's employees who go above and beyond. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree and an Associate of Science degree in law and paralegal studies from the City University of New York at New York City College of Technology. She is interested in researching natural cures/remedies and herbalism; she can often be found reading books on these topics. In her spare time, she enjoys being in nature, going for walks and spending time with her family.
