Tina Bennefield is a project and organizational development extension specialist with NC State’s Industry Expansion Solutions (IES). Tina brings 20 years of human resources and organizational development experience within the public and private sectors specializing in designing and facilitating custom leadership and organizational development programs and solutions. In addition, as a member of the research and evaluation services unit within IES, Tina provides grant and project management expertise to ensure the effective implementation of grant and evaluation projects that facilitate engagement opportunities with new and existing clients. Prior to joining IES, Tina spent more than 13 years as an organizational development manager and senior HR consultant, partnering with leaders to facilitate large scale strategic planning and change initiatives in developing targeted strategies and solutions to enhance individual, team and organizational effectiveness. With extensive experience as an internal and external senior HR consultant, she brings the unique knowledge and expertise of establishing partnerships with executive leaders and HR professionals for achieving transformative and sustainable cultural change within an organization. She is a certified facilitator in: DDI Leadership Interaction Essentials for Managers; DDI Success Profiles Competency Modeling Process; Crucial Conversations – Tools for Talking When the Stakes Are High; Influencer – The Science of Leading Change; The Culture Works - All In Culture Course and What Motivates Me Course and Motivators Assessment; Myers-Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI) Type 1 & Type 2 and Facilitating Organizational Change from Association for Talent Development. Tina has a M.S. in educational leadership from the University of San Diego and a B.S. in recreation and park administration with an emphasis in non-profit management from California State University, Sacramento.
