Tina Bennefield is a Project and Organizational Development Extension Specialist with Industry Expansion Solutions within the College of Engineering. Based out of IES’ Raleigh office, she brings 20 years of Human Resources and Organizational Development experience within the public and private sectors in designing and facilitating talent and organizational development programs and services. In addition, as a member of the Research and Evaluation Services unit within IES, Tina provides grant and project management expertise to ensure the effective implementation of grant and evaluation projects that facilitate engagement opportunities with new and existing clients.
Prior to joining IES, Tina spent more than 13 years as a Senior HR Consultant and Organizational Development Manager at NC State University where she partnered with leaders on large scale strategic planning and change initiatives in developing OD strategies and solutions to enhance individual, team and organizational effectiveness. With extensive experience as an internal senior HR consultant, she brings the unique knowledge and expertise of establishing partnerships with executive leaders and HR professionals for achieving transformative, sustainable change within an organization.
She is a certified trainer in: Crucial Conversations – Tools for Talking When the Stakes Are High; Influencer – The Science of Leading Change; The Culture Works - All In Culture; Myers-Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI) Type 1 & Type 2; Facilitating Organizational Change from Association for Talent Development. Tina has a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation and Park Administration with an emphasis in non-profit management from California State University, Sacramento.
