Wendy provides leadership to a team of professional staff in the area of noncredit, professional development programs, regulatory and compliance training and instructional design services for NC State Industry Expansion Solutions (IES) and other stakeholders. She identifies and responds to strategic opportunities to meet regional and state-wide learning needs and provides comprehensive oversight of the development, marketing, implementation, and evaluation of professional learning programs. She directs the Southeastern OSHA Training Institute Education Center, ensuring compliance with policies established by the US Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). In addition to leading adult education programs, Wendy has worked in the safety, health and environmental profession for more than 20 years in various capacities, including serving as the safety and health manager for a biotechnical manufacturing company. Wendy has a B.S. in industrial engineering and a M.S. in industrial engineering from NC State University.
