National Safety Month

National Safety Month is an important annual event dedicated to raising awareness about the significance of safety in our workplaces and communities. In 1996, the National Safety Council (NSC) established June as National Safety Month to increase awareness of health and safety risks to decrease injuries and deaths among workers in the United States.

Throughout the month of June, organizations, employers, and employees come together to emphasize the importance of creating and maintaining a safe environment for everyone. By focusing on education, prevention, and action, National Safety Month aims to reduce accidents, injuries, and fatalities in various settings.

This year’s topics focus on:

  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Slips, Trips, and Falls
  • Heat-related Illness
  • and Hazard Recognition
