Wooo-hooo! 2020 is finally gone
And not a moment too soon!
To say it brought a few challenges
Is like calling the sea a lagoon.
Stores are out of Lysol wipes,
Six feet is now the new rule.
Toilet paper cannot be found,
We wear masks and do virtual school.
Alas, as we enter the year twenty-one
Many things remain quite the same.
I still keep a distance and cover my face,
Staying safe is the name of the game.
But with this new year comes a new point of view,
One as vital as alcohol gel—
Please remember that life comes with no guarantee
It is fragile.…it’s short. Live it well.
