As we reach the end of Women’s History Month, NC State University Industry Expansion Solutions would like to highlight some of the many impressive and innovative women we are fortunate enough to work with, who have inspiring stories to share. In this three-part article series, we will spotlight women’s remarkable contributions to North Carolina’s manufacturing industry.



Part 1: Women in Health and Safety

Our first segment will delve into the critical importance of health and safety in manufacturing. We will explore how women drive initiatives to create safer work environments, implement robust safety protocols, and champion a well-being culture for all employees. We feature two women who are at the forefront of ensuring the physical and mental health of the workforce.

Part 2: Women in Quality and Engineering Excellence

In the second part of our series, we spotlight three women who are leading quality assurance programs, spearheading engineering projects, and innovating to enhance product quality and efficiency. These trailblazers share their experiences in implementing lean principles, utilizing advanced technologies, and overcoming barriers to achieve exceptional results.

Part 3: Women in Leadership

Lastly, our series will culminate in exploring female leadership in manufacturing. We will feature five women who hold executive positions, lead manufacturing teams and drive strategic decision-making. These leaders are steering their companies toward success and paving the way for future generations of women in the industry. We will delve into their journeys, their challenges, and their strategies to navigate a traditionally male-dominated sector. 


Through this series, we aim to celebrate the achievements of women in manufacturing, highlight their diverse roles and contributions, and inspire others to pursue careers in this dynamic and rewarding field.
