Which of the following statements is correct regarding employers who are covered by the OSH Act?

  1. The OSH Act applies to any employer with one or more employees.
  2. The OSH Act only applies to employers with 10 or more employees.
  3. The OSH Act applies to employers in construction (29 CFR 1926), general industry (29 CFR 1910), Maritime (29 CFR 1915) and Agriculture (29 CFR 1928) that have a DART rate of .8 or higher.
  4. The OSH Act applies to all employers in the “business of commerce,” therefore churches and most nonprofit organizations are exempt.

24-Hour Hazardous Material (HazMat) Technician-Level for Emergency Response

This event meets the OSHA training requirements of hazardous material technician-level for emergency responders as outlined in the HazWOPER standard, 29 CFR 1910.120(q) and 29 CFR 1926(q). HazMat technicians are individuals who respond to releases or potential releases for their companies to stop the release.

 

OSHA #503 Update for General Industry Outreach Trainers
August 17-19 | Virtual 

This course provides an update for currently authorized OSHA General Industry Outreach Trainers on topics such as OSHA general industry standards, policies and regulations. General industry outreach trainers are required to attend this course once every four years to maintain trainer status.

 

OSHA #3095 Electrical Standards
August 16-19 | Raleigh, NC 

This course is designed to provide participants with the ability to conduct an electrical safety inspection according to OSHA and consensus standards, in order to keep the workplace free of electrical hazards. During this 4-day course, students receive a thorough overview of electrical installations and electrical testing equipment with emphasis on safety-related work practices, electrical hazard recognition, OSHA policies and procedures, and the National Electrical Code.
