So you can’t leap tall buildings in a single bound, but you can probably spot unlabeled containers from 75 feet while confiscating an extension cord and explaining how to develop an action plan designed to ensure everyone is safe if that tall building has to be evacuated! Yep, you are a safety professional. You, my friend, are a superhero.

Say it out loud—“I am a superhero! I protect people, I care about what happens and I make a difference!” The next time you are frustrated by a lack of support, lack of staff or lack of budget, remember that the simple act of being present with your workers and letting them know that you genuinely care means more than you will ever know. Embrace your hero status and throw on your cape—just be careful not to trip on it.

Speaking of trips, consider taking one to Raleigh where you can participate in one of our upcoming courses including:

OSHA #7205 Health Hazard Awareness

OSHA #3085 Principles of Scaffolding
