Trivia Question

Each year OSHA and other federal agencies create a plan outlining the regulatory projects on which they are working. Which of the following is not on OSHA’s current regulatory agenda?

  1. A possible update of General Industry standards to address the hazards and concerns facing emergency responders.
  2. Changing 29 CFR 1926.95 to specify how PPE used in construction should fit.
  3. Updating the recordkeeping standard (29 CFR 1904) to provide a clearer definition of “amputation.”
  4. Reviewing the need to develop a standard for preventing heat illness.
Answer

Answer: C. The definition of the term “amputation” stands as is! However, there are a lot of other interesting plans outlined on OSHA’s current Regulatory Agenda. We will be taking a look at some of them during our January 18 Timeout for Safety session.
